Have you ever thought about existence of God?
Have you ever prayed to God?
Obviously, you might have prayed or having observed praying someone else.
Then,
Do questions arise in your mind about praying God,
Why? ... How? .... For what? ... Why? ....Why?
Our elders keep on teaching that Doesn't create questions regarding God. Otherwise, God may be angered and cursed instead of blessed.
Is true practicing of praying to God in any threatening circumstances?
If we keep on praying to God, just in front of any portrait made up of clay or stone or ..... etcetera, communication occurs?
I think most people are confusingly praying to God.
What about various stories of God learned or heard? Are those all true?
The answer to this question depends on the thoughts of people. Because some people are optimistic and some are pessimistic. Optimistic people also belong to a different religious group, I mean society. So their thoughts may be negative or as pessimistic to another religion.
One old story - I have read from an Osho's book
A highly educated person achieved all the degree and knowledge from his Guru i.e. teacher at the Gurukul (university) of past time, and nothing left to learn or study anymore. One day he passed through a village and show some children were playing near the road, he called one boy and asked a question - Can you tell me the answer to one question?
That boy replied, yes - ask your question.
Then that highly educated person asked - Do you know GOD?
The boy replied - Yes, but God used to be at the past time; not now.
In the past, people used to call. So God used to come, but not Nowadays.
The then educated person again asked the boy, where was God gone?
The boy answer very nicely to the educated person as
Boy extinguished burning candle and asked that educated person, where was Light gone? Answer me first then I will answer about God.
That educated man got his answer from the boy's question.
There was one maths teacher when I was studying in B.Sc. at Tri Chandra College, Kathmandu(Nepal), he used to tell nonsense about standing in front of God's portraits made up of stone in Temple. That portrait can't stand itself without our help, then how can it help us after worshiping that portrait?
Is there more than one god, if exist then?
One day one baba, who was a bhakta (follower) of Lord Ram came to me and asked to write numbers of name "Sitaram" to whole copy giving a new empty copy and red ballpen. He was doing like that to everyone and collecting donations from the interested people also. That baba talked to me for about an hour regarding their job, daily routine, religion, and God. During the conversation, he explained God Ram as the supreme and has ultimate power or source of energy in the universe. Even creator and destroyer of all things and events including the universe also.
In Hindu, there are mainly three supreme God named Bramha, Bishnu, and Mahesh heard who have the ultimate source of all the power and their jobs are designated as creator, protector / take carer / Paalan Karta (adherent), and destroyer respectively. Others all 56 crore Devtas are working their jobs with certain responsibilities under those Tridev. But when we read any religious book related to any Dev, we find that Dev is the supreme god in the universe. For instance, Bhagwat Geeta makes God Shree Krishna as supreme, Ramayan focus on God Ram as supreme, Shivpuran focuses on God Shiva as supreme, Bishnupuran focus on God Bishnu as supreme etcetera.
All those religious books make us more confusing, or we might have misunderstood?
I have heard onestory about a Rambhakta who prays and worships God ShreeRam only. Onetime he moves on a walk with his friend in the evening time. On the way, they saw a Shree Krishna Mandir(Temple), Rambhakta went to the temple due to his friend but ignores totally to down his head and pray.
His friend tried to convince as the idol is the same, the only difference is a flute in Krishna's hand and Mayoor Pankh (peacock feather) in his head while a bow and arrows on Ram's hand and shoulder.
But Rambhakta didn't convince.
In the same way, there are lots of religious organizations belonging to Hinduism, but claiming itself secular. And different organizations believe in their different supreme God. Even those gods are worshipped or prayed to in Hindu. There is also such an organization in which devotees pray the child stage of Shree Krishna only; I mean adult stage (Yuva-abastha) of Shree Krishna is not prayed by them.
Without any argument, have you thought to differentiate between the child and adult stage of any personality or person?
In my opinion, peoples do not agree to pray the God, if exist; they only agree to pray the God made by themselves only.
Peoples are not agreed to pray to God made by others.
Rambhakta does not agree to pray God-Shree Krishna,
Krishnabhakta does not agree to pray God- Ram or Shiva or Durga,
Similarly, Muslim peoples do not agree to pray in Hindu-Temple or Christian- church,
Cristian or Hindu peoples do not agree to pray in Muslim- Mosque,
.......... ........,
.... and so on.
If God exists and looks after the whole Universe then,
are there different God in Hindu-Temple, Buddhist- Monastery, Cristian-Church, Muslim- Mosque, and so on?
Religion
Hindu peoples believe their God is supreme and look after the whole universe including humans, animals, insects, plants, earth, moon, and Sun etcetera- all.
Muslim people believe their God-Allah is supreme and look after the whole universe.
Christians believe their God is supreme and their God consists of three parts: father(God-self), son (Jesus Christ), and the holy spirit.
And so on ......
Science
In science, we can talk about only those facts which can be proved. And science can never prove or disprove the existence of God.
One popular physicist- Stephen Hawking explain his views on faith and God during an interview that:
He said during an interview with El Mundo in 2014: “Before we understand science, it is natural to believe that God created the universe. But now science offers a more convincing explanation. What I meant by ‘we would know the mind of God’ is, we would know everything that God would know if there were a God, which there isn’t. I’m an atheist.”
“I believe the universe is governed by the laws of science,” he said. “The laws may have been decreed by God, but God does not intervene to break the laws.”
Einstein says: “The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still primitive, legends which are nevertheless pretty childish.”
Have someone really met with God?
It is very difficult to tell, whether someone has met God or not? Because we can see but we have heard from the person who met God. There are many people who claim that they had met and talked with God. But it is difficult to tell that happening was true or not;
Sometimes people dream and confusing to identify with reality.
A subconscious mind may also make a story that we repeatedly think.
So meeting with God may depend on our subconscious mind.
For instance meeting of Goddess Mata Kali to Shree Ramakrishna Paramhansa,
Swami Shree Adgadanandaji Maharaj did the conversation with God like us(heard from Yathart Geeta audio version),
The first chief priest Bhagwan Chaudhary did a conversation with Gadhimai(An aspect or form of Kali Mata) and brought to Bariyarpur of Bara district, Nepal.
...... like that.
Even if God is present, The Existence of God can be felt by self-realization via our devotion rather than the arising question regarding God and can visualize in each part of Nature.
